Artist biography
Daniel J. Scogna has been blowing glass since 1988. He holds a BFA degree in Glass from the Cleveland Institute of Art and an MFA degree in Glass from Illinois State University. He has also studied at The Penland School of Crafts in Penland, N.C.; The Studio in Corning, N.Y.; and has attended several workshops in Illinois, Ohio and Virginia.
He has blown glass for Sunspots Studios and The Jamestown Glasshouse in Virginia; ArtPark in New York, and Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio.
Daniel has also taught glassblowing and kilnworking classes at Sunspots Studios; Snow Farm - The New England Crafts Program in Massachusetts; Virginia Commonwealth University; and Illinois State University. He served as the interim Head of the Glass Department at Illinois State University in 2002-2003.
